Netherlands announces professional contracts for players
Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Board (KNCB) has announced its first professional playing contracts ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers 2010, which will be held in the UAE next week.

With funding from the ICC High Performance Programme, KNCB has awarded three full-time Category A contracts to captain Peter Borren, Tom de Grooth and Eric Szwarczynski. Ryan ten Doeschate and Alexei Kervezee have been awarded county player agreements (Category B) while the rest of the squad were given Category C contracts or part-time player agreements.

The move, which highlighted the beginning of an era of professionalisation for Associate countries, allows the players the opportunity to maintain their careers while launching their international careers.
