On 29th May 2019, The ICC Cricket World Cup will open in style with the Opening Party!

Held on The Mall, in front of Buckingham Palace in central London, the Opening Party will be a globally broadcast celebration of cricket, music and culture as the countdown to the cricket builds!

We are offering 4,000 fans the chance to attend the Opening Party. Tickets are free but as we know there will be huge interest, we will make tickets available to apply for via a public ballot. Fans will also be able to watch on TV around the world and follow on CWC19 digital channels.


Event Details

When – 29th May 2019, 3.30pm – 6pm BST, with a live TV broadcast at 5-6pm

Where – On The Mall, in front of Buckingham Palace in central London

What to expect – It’s a surprise! All we can promise is a night to remember that cricket fans and non-cricket fans alike will enjoy. There will be entertainment for all ages and expect some famous faces to help get the party started.


Ballot Details

When does the ballot open? 4th April 2019, 10am BST and closes 1st May 2019, 10am BST.

Who can apply? Anyone aged 16 years or over can apply for tickets. You can apply for up to two tickets which must be used by you and your nominated guest. Children aged under five years old will not be admitted and anyone aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Is it first come first served? No, you can apply any time before 1st May


When will I find out if I am successful? Applicants will be informed by 7th May 2019 if they have been successful.
