Cardiff Wales Stadium understand that it is critical to reduce any adverse environmental impacts to preserve both the stadium’s beautiful surroundings and to allow Glamorgan Cricket Club to sustainably meet the needs of future generations.

The club’s appointed sustainability manager works hard to ensure the effective management of resources and our dedication to reducing our carbon footprint is reflected in our sustainability principles which are implemented throughout our stadium and embedded into our culture.

We provide general waste bins and mixed recycling receptacles on site which we encourage our spectators to use, and this is also reinforced to workforce, contractors and suppliers, who are also advised to consider their packaging in advance and to take any non-recyclable items when they leave the stadium.

Our refreshments outlets utilise re-usable cups for spectator beverages and all food waste and glass waste is removed from kitchens and bars. We encourage spectators to bring their own bottles and use the water refill stations available around the stadium

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has a full, dedicated security team working on plans for a safe and secure tournament for all participants and spectators.

We are working with police in all our host cites and the national security services to ensure the security provided at the tournament is of the highest order, while existing security staff at all CWC19 host venues are receiving additional training in the build-up to the tournament.

There will be enhanced security plans at all our host venues with visible security measures taking place, as well as other non-visible measures happening throughout the tournament, inside and outside the stadium.
